Mario Games

Super Mario Bros 2 is very different from the other NES Mario games, and for good reason. It was never meant to be a Mario game. In Japan, it was released as Doki Doki Panic, but in the USA it became Super Mario Bros 2. You can play as Mario, Luigi, Toad, or Princess. Mario is the balanced choice, Luigi can jump the highest but struggles with lifting, Toad is strong at lifting but not a great jumper, and Princess has the ability to float in the air for a few seconds, making her very useful in tricky levels. Depending on the stage, some characters will give you an advantage.
